If you are able to donate an item or money, we ask that you please turn it into Miss Dwight no later than Tuesday, May 5th with the message of 'beach basket' included.
Also, if you would like to have a table for a garage sale during the Family Fun Day to sell your own items, the cost is 50 RMB per family. Please contact Megumi at mmegu321@hotmail.com to register for a table and/or for any questions. The sign up deadline is Thursday, April 30th.

Encouraging Our Children to Read!
CDIS PTO (parent/teacher organization) will host an Elementary Parent Social on Thursday, March 19th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The idea for this social will be to talk about different ways we can encourage our children to read. We will have someone from the school come and share information about our school library and how the reading levels work. We also hope to share about summer reading ideas.
Come join us for a time of talking with other parents and sharing ideas to encourage our children to enjoy reading. We will have ladies there to interpret for any one who is concerned about understanding the information.
If you would like to join your child for lunch after the social, please send an email to pto@cdischina.com so the lunchroom will prepare enough food.
Hope to see you there!

Two Important Things for Parents to Know
Elementary students in grades 1st – 5th will be allowed to purchase milk, juice, or yogurt during lunch starting 2nd quarter. If students choose to make a purchase, it will be charged to the student’s lunch account. The lunchroom workers nor the classroom teachers are able to police this, so please talk with your child and let him/her know if you will allow them to make these purchases. It will be the student’s responsibility to honor what you have said. Once a purchase is made, we cannot credit the cost back to the lunch balance.
Procedure for early pick-up during the school day:
Stop at reception desk
Tell receptionist who you are and who you are picking up (plus their grade)
Have a seat in the seating area
Receptionist will arrange for your child to be brought to you
Thank you CDIS parents! We appreciate you!
